Terms of Service
Last updated: June 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Satro, operated by Nicola Eberhard, a sole proprietorship established in Austria (Einzelunternehmen). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Satro.
We offer Satro to consumers and users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply where they give you rights beyond these Terms.
1. The service
Satro helps you capture thoughts and turn them into structured insights using AI. Features may evolve as we improve the product. AI output is for personal organization only — not professional, medical, financial, or legal advice.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 16 years old in the EEA/UK (or older if your country requires a higher minimum age).
- You are responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- One person per account unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing.
3. Free and paid plans
Satro offers a free plan and an optional paid plan, Satro Plus. Free-plan limits (such as monthly AI analyses and voice inputs) and Plus features are described in the app and on the billing page. We may adjust plan limits with reasonable notice where required by law.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Satro Plus is a recurring subscription (currently €7.99 per month unless otherwise shown at checkout).
- Web: payments are processed by Stripe. Prices, billing interval, and renewal date are shown before you pay.
- iOS: if offered, subscriptions may be billed through Apple's App Store under Apple's terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through Stripe Customer Portal, App Store subscription settings, or as otherwise described at purchase.
- Prices include applicable VAT where we are required to charge it. VAT treatment depends on your location and our tax registration status.
5. Right of withdrawal (EU / UK consumers)
If you are a consumer (not using Satro for business), you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from distance contracts under EU and UK consumer law.
Digital content supplied immediately: when you subscribe to Satro Plus, you request immediate access to digital features. If you begin using Plus features during the withdrawal period, you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal may end once digital content has been fully supplied, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
To withdraw, send a clear statement to nicolaeberhard28@icloud.com within 14 days of purchase. If you are entitled to a refund, we will process it using the same payment method where possible. Statutory rights are not affected.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break applicable law or infringe others' rights
- Attempt unauthorized access, scraping, or disruption of the service
- Upload malware or content you do not have the right to use
- Resell or commercially exploit the service without our permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to users or infrastructure, with notice where reasonable.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display your content solely to operate Satro (including AI features you request). See our Privacy Policy for how we process personal data.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify features, perform maintenance, or discontinue parts of the service. Material adverse changes to paid features will be communicated where required by law.
9. Liability
Satro is provided with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
If you are a consumer, you benefit from mandatory statutory rights in your country of residence. These Terms do not limit those rights.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
For disputes, contact us first at nicolaeberhard28@icloud.com. EU consumers may use the ODR platform linked in our Imprint.
